Source: Robert Bee Hicks John Henry had brother in Houston TX, who's son named Houston, came to the farm in Erick and then to Martinez. Other Morgan family never came on the scene.

Two sons died: 1. Lee Roy Morgan b. 1908 Blossom Tx d. 1916 Blossom Tx 2. Robert Morgan b. 1910 Blossom Tx d. Dec 1918 Blossom Tx.

Source: Ethel Morgan Doyle: His family moved near Blossom, TX when he was a young man. His family and also the family of Julia Pennington lived and farmed on the farm of Vice-President John Garner's father. John Henry and Julia were married in 1900. After marriage, they lived on a farm north of Blossom, Texas until March 1920 when they moved to Beckham County, Oklahoma. They farmed for 3 years in the Delhi community and in january 1923 purchased a farm southwest of Erick in the Choctaw school district.

J.H. Morgan as a young man was involved in a tragedy, he was at home at night with only his older brother George. At that time someone was stealing property in the area where they lived. The older brother as a prank left the house and went to the chicken house and began making noise. J.H. thinking it was the thieves took his gun to investigate, planning to frighten the prowler, he shot the gun and fatally wounded his brother.
