Alvia was buried in East Lawn Memorial Cemetary, Bloomington, Ill. Alvia and Ethel lived in Clinton, Ill in 191 1(?) Unable to locate them there in 1910 census. Family records indicate they came to Bloomington in 1912. Alvia worked for the RR in different communites and different jobs. He was a pipe fitter at the C&A shops in Bloomington, Ill for years and at the time of his retirement. He loved steam engines. He was a member of the Masons in Bloomington, also the First United Brethern Church.

1885 Kansas State Census-age 1 living with parents and older siblings in Parsons, Ks.

1895 Kansas State Census-agd 10, living with parents and siblings in Parsons, Ks.

1900 Federal Census Living with parents in Parsons Ks. He married Ethel Talkington in 1903 in Springfield, Ill. (How did he meet her?) They returned to Parsons and lived with his parents where my mother, Ada was born 4/18/1904, a few months after Alvia's father, William was killed on the Katy Flyer trajedy.

1910 Federal Census Not found in Illinois.

According to family comments, Alvia and Ethel and Ada moved to Bloomington, III abt 1912, from Clinton, Ill/Mo. Unable to find in Census

As I remember Grandma Troegle said they rented the house next door to 716W. Monroe for sometime before they bought 716.

1920 Federal Census Living at 716W Monroe St., Bloomington, Ill. He was age 35. Wife Ethel aged 33, daughter Ada aged 15 and daughter Margaret age 5. Also Anto Herr was living with them as a boarder. This was the home they lived in at the time of both their deaths.
